Glossary
Alias
A unique identifier assigned to a user within the Pulsate platform. The alias links user data and interactions across different devices and sessions to create a comprehensive user profile.
API
Secure, documented endpoints that let your systems exchange data with Pulsateโ sending member and event data in, and pulling opportunities, audiences, and performance data out. We support flexible connection paths alongside SFTP so you can fit Pulsate into your existing workflow.
Automation
Automations turn member signals into member-facing moments, automatically. Instead of a marketer requesting a list and an analyst pulling it, a responsive system identifies eligible members, delivers a personalized message inside digital banking, and closes the loop when the member acts.
Badge
App badge sits in the top right corner of the app logo and represents the number of notifications that need to be read.
Channel Optimization
Determining the most effective communication method โ push, in-app, or feed โ based on account holder preferences and engagement data.

When creating a campaign, you can choose to remove a campaign from a userโs feed after a certain amount of time. For example, if the offer is no longer running.
Feed Post
A content post that appears in the appโs message center or activity feed. Unlike push or in-app messages, feed posts are static, scrollable, and remain accessible for users to view at their convenience.
Frequency Capping
A control used to limit how often an account holder receives push notifications within a set period to prevent fatigue.
Geofencing
A location-based marketing technique that triggers messages when users enter or exit a predefined geographical area. Geofencing is used to deliver highly relevant, location-specific content.
Impression
The number of times a campaign message is displayed to a user. Impressions track how often users are exposed to campaign content, regardless of whether they interact with it.
In-App + Feed Post Notification
A combination campaign that delivers an in-app message during the userโs session linked to a feed post.
In-App Notification
A notification or message displayed within the digital banking or mobile app experience. Unlike push notifications, in-app messages appear when the user logs into digital banking.
Insights
AI-powered, intent-based recommendations that surface your next best opportunities (and missed ones), suggest creative and copy to launch faster, benchmark you against peers, and flag re-engagement paths when campaigns stall.
